5+ years experience in Water/Wastewater arena.

Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Management or equivalent degree/work experience.

Knowledge of project development, engineering and construction methods.

SSC Construction, Inc. is seeking Estimators in the Water/Wastewater Treatment arena. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: needs to have estimated treatment plants and is strong in structural concrete and mechanical pipeline. Estimator is capable of a wide variety of difficult estimating activities on an assigned project, attend pre-bid meeting to determine the project requirements. Prepares material takeoffs on complex projects, drawings, and plans. Reviews takeoffs provided and checks for mathematical and technical accuracy. Responsible for reviewing the subcontractor & vendor scope of work. Obtains telephone quotes for materials and services. Accumulates, evaluates, and documents historical cost data and construction procedures and methods in order to maintain current estimating standards and databases.

The Schedule Engineer/Project Scheduler’s primary function will be to create, implement, & update all planning and scheduling activities for multiple water/wastewater treatment projects of various sizes requiring a thorough knowledge of principles, techniques, and technical knowledge of a construction project.

4 Year Engineering Degree plus 2+ years construction scheduling experience in the water/wastewater treatment sector

Experience with Primavera Software

Thorough knowledge of planning and scheduling systems, principles and practices

Ability to solve complex problems

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical problem solving skills required

Working knowledge of and ability to select/apply resource monitoring and control techniques such as CPM networks scheduling, computer scheduling techniques, etc. as well as an understanding of the nature of process systems, structures and construction technology required.
